SQL Server is essential and pivotal to the well-functioning of a SharePoint environment. In this session we will explore the considerations from obvious to obscure in making sure the fine tuning is part of the planning, and how to adjust if it is already deployed. Exploring best practices in capacity planning and the way it relates to SQL Server to keep your SharePoint environment living and living well. Also to have a very well founded understanding of the implications of a physical vs. virtual deployment.
Enrique Lima has been around IT for about 21 years. During that time Enrique has accumulated experience in training, application development, database development and management, IT solutions architecture and project management. His  current role is as a SharePoint Practice Lead at Pinnacle of Indiana, a Mishawaka, IN based company. His focus is to provide quality, informative, and engaging solutions and service to clients. As a speaker and presenter he brings in the lessons learned from the field to provide guidance in how to best leverage the tools clients will be using and exploring as they move forward with their Microsoft SharePoint Technologies and supporting tools. He has been involved in architecting, developing and deploying solutions that leverage the integration of SharePoint Technologies, BizTalk, Commerce Server and Content Management Server with other Microsoft and non-Microsoft platforms. He has been a speaker at conferences like TechEd North America, also active in speaking at SharePoint Saturdays, and supporting User Groups across Indiana and the East Coast.
